Dear MEDI-users,

I try to understand how the frequency map is estimated in the function Fit_ppm_complex. I am not sure I understand how it works, is it the non-linear least square fitting to complex data (by an iterative process) as described in Appendix in Liu et al. MRM 2013;69:467-76?

Best regards,

Emelie Lind

Emelie,

That is correct. The cost function is linearized in each iteration, the resulting voxel-wise 2 by 2 inversion is implemented across all voxels using Cramer's rule.

Dear Pascal,

Thank you very much! Your explanation and the paper by Liu et al. will help me understand what is done.

Thanks,

Emelie
