Hello,

It’s sad to have to write this email and I’ve been avoiding it all week, but I figured I needed to verbalize it before the season ends just in case anyone else has noticed anything.

It’s been a bit warm this week. We’ve been watering whenever possible, so we’ve definitely seen some of the plots booming over the last two weeks!

On last Friday (8/15) we were out late at the garden, past sundown, watering and admiring the upcoming fruits of labor. When we came back the next day, Saturday, unfortunately it seems someone harvested some of the largest peppers before they were actually ripe. There are no signs of animals on the plants surrounding and the stems were pinched and plucked, rather than chewed off.

I’m not blaming anyone in this thread, but it did make me lose a little bit of trust in the community we started to build here.

Keep your eyes out for upcoming harvests and I hope all your veggies are the most delicious you’ll have all year!

Sincerely,
Michael

Hi All

Barrels are filled and all beds watered.

This will be my 5th time filling the barells either alone or with someone.

It would be great if we could get a rotation going.

If everyone who is actively gardening can take a turn, we will probably just do it few more times.

Thank you,
Grace..

Hi, Grace, thank you for filling the barrels up so many times! I am happy to get on the rotation as I've only done a couple. It is a lot of work when you do it alone!!

Best,
Peace Ossom

I would be happy to join this rotation, too! Especially if I can help someone else the first time, since I haven't done this before.
