I stopped by the office today and plugged in the USB cable for TripLite for kvm1.  I configured ups monitoring just like the other server.  It has a run time of ~12 minutes.

In related ups news, on kvm2 it shows /var/log/messages from the ups that the batter is low on June 2 at 16:50 and June 3 at 00:36.  Then at 05:55, the usb device for the UPS disappears and can't be shown using the lsusb command.
It appears that the ups is off or dead or something unknown.  Yet, the server is still running.

Who will be at the office next to physically look at the UPS and see if its on, etc?

Hi Scott,

Hope that the admin support team got your message. I was busy doing the Merck webnar all day, and just configured the new Synology 5-bay 15TB drive before I left office.

Did this get followed through by Qian or Bin already?

Jake

I replaced the USB cable with a shorter one and restarted the daemon.
According to the LCD output, the UPS seems happy enough; although the
output voltage hovers around 115 V, the brownout protection is
not turning on.
