I resolved this problem. It turned out that I was using the old openVPN conf fie prior to Shen rebuilding my openvpn profile. Once I used the right version, it worked on my laptop.
I don’t know what happened to the vpn access on my cell phone earlier. I am now able to access our computers remotely, too.
Good that your previous solution still works. It’s not too bad in this sense.
