Question  :- Is high cholesterol primary reason for heart attacks/heart disease ?
Answer    :- No. More than 50% of people who suffer heart attack have their Cholesterol
level within recommended limit.

Question  :- If not Cholesterol , then what causes heart diseases ?
Answer    :- Heart diseases are primary caused by inflammation of arteries , which blocks
blood from reaching the heart.

Question  :- How inflammation of arteries happens ?
Answer    :- There are two types of cholestrol - HDL(good fat) & LDL (bad fat).
When LDL become oxidized they become stickier, and they end up gumming
up the arteries.

Question  :- So , whats the solution ?
Answer    :- Eat a healthy diet , so that proper ratio of good fat(HDL) and bad fat(LDL)
is maintained. Typically ratio of total fat is to good fat should be 5:1.

Do exercise (brisk walking, jogging, etc.) every alternate day.
Eat fruits and vegetables which are rich in Antioxidant.Eat protien rich diet.
These will prevent oxidation of LDL.

As rightly said , Prevention is better than cure.
