As PALS spreads the word of the partner institutes we work with, we have a couple of requests from our system requesting for project associates and Senior Project Officer. 

We have the JD and requisites for Project Associate outlined in this mail

About AMTDC

Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Centre (AMTDC) is a Society set up at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. It is set up with the support of the Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Government of India to enhance the competitiveness of capital goods sector like machine tools, auto, heavy electrical and engineering industries, building human resources and talent in the country, providing top quality R & D service to Industry and enabling collaborative pathways between academic fraternity at national and international level and industries engaged in the advanced manufacturing capabilities and systems.

 

The centre is currently undertaking eleven technology development projects in collaboration with six prominent industries: Jyoti CNC Automation Ltd., MTAB Engineers P Ltd., Chennai Metco P Ltd., Interface Design Associates P Ltd., Ace Designers Ltd. and Micromatic Grinding Technologies Ltd. for developing CNC multi tasking machines, CNC universal machining centre, Ultra-precision CNC micromachining centre, precision abrasive cut off and polishing machines, Hydrostatic systems for machine tools, Smart machines, Drives for motors and industrial robot.

 

The centre is very keen to appoint young, talented engineers with bachelor’s and post graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, computer science engineering and information technology with a strong passion to purse career in research and development in future. Opportunities exist for very talented engineers to pursue research degree programme at the Institute and to secure a suitable position in reputed machine tools and manufacturing industries in India. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to interact with eminent academicians.

Applications are invited for the following posts at “Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Centre” at I I T Madras

Project Associate: 5 posts

 

Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering with at least one year experience in design, manufacturing, research and developmental work at any reputed industry/academic institution/R & D, public and private sectors.

 

OR

 

Post graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Mechatronics in the areas of design, manufacturing, research and development at any reputed industry/institute/R & D establishments.

 

Age Limit:  upper age is limited to 28 years

 

Preferable: Candidates with experience in machine tools/ manufacturing and heavy engineering sectors/ software sector are preferred.

 

Knowledge on fundamentals of dynamics, heat transfer, machine design, manufacturing, computer programming is essential.

 

Pay Range: Rs. 17,500 – Rs. 40,000/-
