Hi all,
Greetings from Cambridge!
First of all, thank you so much for all your hard work and involvement in the course. All of you were so engaged and asked really good questions which I am sure was of benefit to everyone. As you all are settling back from the intense course experience, it would be good to review and reflect on what we have learned. When you get a chance, it would be highly valuable to go through the notes and handouts once again and note down any questions you may have.
Please check out the following updated material. I have added analysis on the amplifier scaling and the effect of the encoder quantization. Please read through the notebook and ask any questions or comments you may have.

Lastly, on behalf of the organizing team, we are very grateful for your efforts and time in giving us detailed, honest, and helpful feedback. We have learned a lot from your feedback and plan to incorporate many of the improvements for future sessions. This was an introductory level course, primarily geared towards building awareness. Concurrently, we hope that many of you carry back at least 2-3 learnings and skills which you can use in your own work. Many of you seem to have got the key messages we were trying to get to, so kudos to all of you!
We plan to work on providing more basic courses by the AMTDC researchers so that participants who require more time with the fundamentals can get familiar with the basics before diving right in. Another feedback we got was to have a more continual engagement. On that front, we are thinking of holding one-hour "Office Hours" every two weeks. As a starting point, we will meet this Friday, at 2:00 pm IST for one hour through Webex. Meeting details are given below. The agenda for this week's meeting would be to take the first 15 minutes to go over the updated Jupyter notebooks posted above and then take any questions regarding any aspect of the course or mechatronics related practical issues you may be facing for the remaining 45 minutes. Based on how this goes, we can change the timings or how it is conducted in the future.
