                                      YANTRIK’13.

A NATIONAL  STUDENT  DESIGN  CONTEST  AND  SYPOSIUM.

Hope you are busy with your academics and wanting some relief with some new technology, right if you are in this situation here is the ultimate opportunity  for awakning the interest in you in fields of  ROBOTICS & MECHATRONICS.

This will be the plat form for  Exploring your hidden talent and  mould your talent in perfect  shape and guide your career in  excellent  way.

As  every  year   KLUniversity  MECHANICAL Department   is  going to conduct  “A NATIONAL STUDENT’S CONVENTION ON ROBOTICS &MECHATRONICS i.e   YANTRIK’13 .

YANTRIK’13 will be held on September 15,16,17.In this fest i.e convention we have  the following events.

Paper Presentations , Poster Presentations, Events like  Robo   Race, Robo war, Amphibians, Line following robot and many other spot events.

Hurry up  with enthusiasm……… and  here are the  ultimate  workshops…..

6 WORKSHOPS associated with ROBOTIC CORE SCHOOL,ROBOGENESIS.

SURVEILLANCE  ROBOT.

CYBER FORENSICS.

UNMANNED VEHICLE NAVIGATION.

HAPTICS.

BLUE DRIOD.

BI-PED.

SURVEILANCE   ROBOT:-

Manned surveillance missions are critical to obtaining useful intelligence. But sending a soldier into sensitive areas can often be too dangerous. Scientists are developing robots that could do the job : uses sensors to model its environment, detect potential threats, calculate lines of sight, and locate good hiding places. Next-generation surveillance robots will probably combine sensors similar to those on the prototype with more-powerful artificial intelligence and a stealthy body. A part of this sophisticated robo is to analyze the environment and act accordingly. This workshop focuses on the basics of analysing bots’ environment and sending commands through programmable chips.

Workshop will be conducted on  SEPTEMBER  15,16.

Per team 6 members.

Per head:-1000/-

Total cost of workshop:-6000/-

UN-MANNED VEHICLE NAVIGATION:-

Autonomous unmanned vehicles have generated much interest in recent years due to their ability to perform relatively difficult tasks in hazardous or remote environments. Different stochastic iterative search methods have been investigated for optimization of continuous non-linear functions. Various algorithms like evolutionary computations, genetic algorithms, adaptive cultural models etc. have been used to perform this task. Here in this workshop we opt for the simplest way to introduce basic of such system where radio technology and microcontroller programming will accomplish this task. Prima facie it’s a wireless manually controlled device through radio wave generators viz. cell phones etc. but can be integrated to switch different programmed mode to accomplish various tedious task at higher level.

Workshop will be conducted on SEPTEMBER 15,16.

Per team  6 members

Per head:- 1000/-

Total cost of workshop:-6000/-

CYBER FORENSICS:-

This workshop is dedicated on Cyber Forensics & Crime Investigation. Computer Forensics is a detailed and scientific study, research and implementation of computer science subjects for the purpose of gathering digital evidence in cases of cyber crimes or for other scientific research purposes also it introduces the needs of the current cyber security sector

Workshop will be conducted on  SEPTEMBER 15,16.

Per  team 1 members.

Per head: 1000/-

Total cost of workshop:-2000/-

HAPTICS:-

Haptics refers to the sense of touch. In this workshop the participant will be given the hands on experience along with the complete theoretical know how of building a robotic arm.
The participant will build a robotic arm with 3 DOF and this arm will be controlled by a haptic setup which will be assembled on the participant’s arm. The robotic arm will imitate every action made by the participant’s arm.
The microcontroller used in this workshop is ATmega8535 and the development environment used is WinAVR.
This workshop will be conducted for 2 days (16 Hrs), with each day divided into 2 sessions.

Workshop will be conducted on  SEPTEMBER 16,17.

Per team 5 members

Per head:-1100.

Total cost of workshop:-5500/-

BLUE DRIOD:-

Now is an exciting time for robotics and mobile developers. Mobile phones have never been more popular and powerful smart phones are now a popular choice of consumers. And these smart phones can be used for controlling robots.
Built on an open source system and featuring powerful SDK libararies and IDE, Android and AVR have opened up a field for interfacing mobile with a robot.

This workshop is for anyone interested in creating applicatiosn for the android Mobile phone platform using the SDK for controlling your robots.
Duration:The workshop will be conducted for two days, with each day divided into sessions of 4 hours each

Workshop will be conducted on  SEPTEMBER  16,17.

Per team 5 members

Per head:- 1100/-.

Total  cost of workshop:-5500/-

BIPED:-

The word biped means two legs. Bipedalism is a form of terrestrial locomotion where an organism moves by means of its two rear limbs, or legs. An animal or machine that usually moves in a bipedal manner is known as a biped /ˈbaɪpɛd/, meaning "two feet" (from the Latin bi for "two" and ped for "foot"). Types of bipedal movement include walking, running, or hopping, on two appendages (typically legs). The participant will build a biped robot which can walk on its own, climb steps and even dance to your music. The microcontroller used in this workshop is ATmega8 and the development environment used is WinAVR. This workshop will be conducted for 2 days (16 Hrs), with each day divided into 2 sessions.

Workshop  will be conducted on  SEPTEMBER  16,17

Per team  5 members.

Per head:- 1200/-

Total cost of workshop:-6000/-
