Connecting a Mechaduino with an Arduino Mega

Hi

My question is simple, I have a Mechaduino 0.1 and the pin diagram shows that D0 is Rx and D1 is Tx,
is it possible to connect to the Rx and Tx on an arduino mega and communicate these two?

I know its kind of obvious but im a lil insecure, I dont want to ruin my mechaduino.

I want to be able to use the Basic Commands with an LCD Keypadshield I have for my arduino mega.
