Hi, I'm trying to connect my Machaduino 0.2 to a ramps 1.4 board. But I don't know where to get clear instructions, I have read the MechaduinoManual0.1.2 and watched this video  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-pY4OZzvaU&list=WL&index=31 but I'm still confused as to where to connect it to the ramps board, it is hard to see in the video, and when I tried it it did not work. Also my mechaduino looks a little different then the one in the video, could that be the problem? And in the MechaduinoManual0.1.2 there are 5 wires but in the video there are only 4.

I still, can't get it figured out. I have followed the instructions very carefully. So far I have been able to get one working, but only for a short time, and one or to others that worked for calibrating, but refused to do anything else. This is getting very frustrating. I have watched the video on youtube for setting up, and I'm doing everything in it. Why I'm I the only one who seems to be having this problem? I have tried connecting 5 volts for the vin, but there is no differences, other then on the one where I did get it to work, where it needed it if the usb was not plugged in, but on the rest it did not seem to make any differences. Does the 3.3 volt also need to be connected?

Another question, does it matter where the power is connected? can it be connected to the 12 volts supply for the ramps board, or does it have to be connected to where the stepper motor driver would be?

I think I found my problem, I need the enable pin and 3.3v connected, but where do I connect the enable pin on the mechaduino?

See the step stick diagram here:

The enable pin is top left pin of the step stick.

I burned up my arduino board so I will have to wait until a new one arrives in the mail. but I have done some more research and it appears the no. 2 pin on the mechaduino is for the enable, at least with the newer version of the firmware, and for the version made just for the ramps 1.4 https://github.com/Kaiwol1990/Mechaduino

Could somebody please tell me how to hookup the mechaduino to a ramps 1.4 board. I have been trying for mouths. I have the 12 volt power connected, and a the 5 volt vin,  the dir, and step. It did not work, so I tried adding a 3.3 volt enable, I also when into the program and uncommented the line to it would use the enable pin, but it still does not work. When I connect it to my ramps board, and try ti run it, it does nothing, when I first power it up I can hear the motor come on, but it does nothing and makes no sound when I try to run it. Yes I have calibrated it, and it runs just fine when I have it connected to my laptop, and use arduino. When I try to run it on my ramps board, on the screen it says x endstop, I have no endstops connected. (I have it connect to where the x axes motor gets connected) however when I put a motor controller in the board directly, and connect a motor it runs without any problems. So I plugged it into the ramps board on one of my other printers, that works, but it still refuses to move. I have even tried the kaiwol1990 version of the firmware, but I can't even get it to calibrate, I think I might need some kind of GUI software, or should I be able to do it through arduino? Could the steps per mm in the marlin firmware I have installed in the ramps board have anything to do with it not working? What I'm I doing wrong?

Hi, I'm that guy from the youtube video you posted a comment at.

I can help you better on here. Let me know what the result was of the AGC test and the serial console changes.

When I try to calibrate it freezes, when I open up the serial monitor, it keeps saying I need to calibrate, but when I send the calibrate command it ether does nothing or freezes up. I have it the band at 9600, I have tried it with the arduino/genuino zero native usb port, and the noa zaero navitve usb port, board using the atmel sam-ice programmer. How did you do it? Here is a link to a video off me trying to calibrate it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRZmGdG053g

Can you show a video of the LCD, is the splash screen coming back like the unit is rebooting?

No when I try ti calibrate it just freezes, the screen does nothing, the only time it did anything, was one time when I waited for a few minutes, then it showed another screen, I don't remember what it was, and ever sinse then ever time I start it up, it no-longer says that it is not calibrated. Could it have anything to do with the step per resolution setting?
