Hello all,
Below are the sample communications to approach a nonprofit and communicate with the members. I've also attached as a Word doc. As I mentioned in the meeting, Travis can very quickly get a web page created for the nonprofit to use.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Lori

Letter to nonprofit introducing the program:
The Melrose Energy Commission (MEC) and Next Step Living (NSL) have partnered to help Melrose residents take advantage of the Mass Save Home Energy Services Program®. This program reduces energy costs and improves comfort in the home by providing no-cost energy assessments and educating residents about weatherization and other energy-efficiency opportunities. The Mass Save program also provides free energy-saving compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs).
In an effort to increase community involvement, the MEC and NSL have implemented a nonprofit contribution program that allows organizations to raise funds while helping their fellow citizens and the environment. When nonprofit organizations sign up members, friends and neighbors for a No-Cost Mass Save Home Energy Assessment, and the assessment is complete, the nonprofit organization receives $5 from Next Step Living for each assessment.
There is no limit to the number of $5 contributions so organizations can raise substantial funds through this program. In addition, Next Step Living will make a $100 contribution for every 100 assessments completed.
The Melrose Energy Commission and Next Step Living will be happy to provide training and help conduct initial outreach programs, as well as supply informational materials about the Mass Save program. For more information about this program, contact Travis Estes at travis...@nextsteplivinginc.com.
