Well, this is a week for politics - love it or hate it, it's currently having a major impact on all our lives.
One person who saw it from the very heart is Dan Pink, who walked away frrom a storied career in politics - he was at one time Al Gore's chief speechwriter - to study what makes us, and our organizations, tick.
When I interviewed Dan about his life, his personal life decisions, and his then-latest book "Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us", I ended up in the midst of one of the most enlightening, insightful discussions I've had on the Scale! podcast about the true nature of what truly motivates us, and what we can do as leaders to sustainably and meaningfully motivate others.
You will really enjoy this discussion, I promise you.
p.s. Don't miss the section where Dan tells us why and how he wrote the first (and possibly the last) business Manga book - and the surprising lessons he learned from it:
