Current cost (company) dead ?

Hi all just posting this here, as I guess the majority of you use the Current Cost devices ;-) So it's not completely off-topic.. Anyway, I went to purchase a third Optismart device for my setup (I got hold of two Landis and Gyr ZMB120 electricity meters). But, it seems like there are no more Optismart devices. Anywhere! I looked on CurrentCost's website, and that's not been updated since a couple of years, the forum there is dead..

Has anybody here found a source for the Optismart devices (I am in Switzerland) ? Or has CC gone bust, given up, been bought out, or what ?

Can't even find any Optismart devices on Ebay ;-(

Energomonitor are the technology giant behind the hugely successful Gateway, previously sold by us as the Current Cost NetSmart Gateway.

Wait… what?

Here’s the short version:  Current Cost Ltd went into liquidation in September 2015.

Most (if not all) of Current Cost’s product development has been outsourced to Energomonitor since 2014, and Energomonitor have also been doing a lot of manufacturing for Current Cost as they have a top-notch production facility in the Czech Republic.

So when Current Cost Ltd went under, we linked up with Energomonitor.

So essentially, the Energomonitor Gateway that we now have available is the same great Gateway that we’ve sold thousands of, but now it’s set up to send it’s energy monitoring data to https://app.energomonitor.cz (click the link for a demo login).  It’s a brilliant energy monitoring portal and very slick indeed.

OK, as update. I contacted Current Cost (just out of chance) - and they still have some Optismarts in stock, so I can get some :-)

(I also contacted the Energocost company, but got no response from them.)
