Hi,

After reading forum posts I've connected a raspberry pi to my Envir energy monitor, and have added positions for the sensor and grabber.

When I click on the raspberry pi's page I can see my current energy usage. However, I don't think I'm uploading anything to PV Output (the Measureit log in tmp is blank).

NB. when I browse to the PV Output website: I get the following error message: "Method Not Allowed 405: POST only".

Are there any ways to check what's going wrong?

Many thanks,

Pravin

Hi,

if you setup your device-id and your api key in measureit it should work without a problem.
You had to restart the grabber after adding PVOutput settings.

If not you can start the grabber in debug mode and wait 5 minutes until the upload to PVOutput start.
Then you can look in the measureit log. If everything is fine the log is empty.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.  I'll look at the measureit settings again, and try and put the grabber into debug mode.

Thanks again

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your reply - that seems to have fixed it, and I can now see the graphs on the PV Output's web-site!!

One last question please: apart from changing the measureit_functions.php file (demo to true); are there are any other security changes that you suggest users make, in particular,  if we're just using the programme for pv output, do we need to change the mysql password?

Thanks

Pravin

In theory if your RPI is running in your own network and if it is not reachable from other networks or the internet you do not need to change something.
In real live you can not be sure who has access to your computers. So changing default passwords is always a good idea. Not even in the measureit image. :)
