So this is an argument posed by a philosopher named John Searle

And let's let google tell it...

The Chinese Room Argument, proposed by philosopher John Searle, is a thought experiment designed to challenge the idea of strong AI, which claims that a computer could achieve genuine understanding and consciousness simply by running the right program. The experiment describes a person who doesn't know Chinese but can follow an instruction manual to manipulate Chinese characters and produce coherent answers to questions written in Chinese, creating the illusion of understanding. Searle argues that the person, like a computer program, is only engaging in symbol manipulation and lacks any true comprehension of the symbols' meaning (semantics)

So very heated arguments everywhere regarding all this so let me add some of my opinions...

It is not enough to understand the language if the language is using allegory, metaphor, references to cultural history, that you are not familiar with.

Literal translations get you nowhere and I can show you that by pointing at Akhenaten who I was in a previous life.

So monkey boy told me I was him and Angelina was Nefertiti and he was king Tut, our son at that time.

I originally thought he was some big shot from off planet there to do some ceremonies for one version of the match making machine since he was so different and it made sense that ceremony was required when the match making machine was now open for business or similar after an upgrade.

When he told me that I took a closer look.
Robert has told me I was Osiris, so then I thought well if I was Osiris and the Akhenaten there should be obvious connections there.

But if it was me then why does he look deformed or effeminate?

So the Titan queen needing to marry a foreign king so that she could get a divorce I assumed.

And Angelina  had told me she was not one of the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades she was the mom.
And a film announced their arrival that I had found...

So then if I was Osiris, where was Isis? So then it made sense that I would insist that the imagery portrayed me as saying I am not divorcing Isis, she is here with me in the spirit.

And then that would also mean I was not deformed, and we had 7 daughters and one son.
And I told Zahi Hawass that...head of Egyptology and he found the seven sisters, found my body in KV 55, did the DNA work and proved that I was correct.

You see so to literally translate the imagery of Akhenaten, you don't get anywhere close to understanding what was meant by it.

And the same could be true for all of hieroglyphics that symbolism hidden meanings and innuendo are all part of their culture.
Leaving anyone to interpret what is being said.
And we can see that here, Guide of Egypt Star Gate.
Where the imagery is so vague and unreadable that you can make it mean almost anything. Other than the star gate cartouche itself.
But still is not calling an Einstein Rosen bridge a star gate still not anything close to what it actually is?
Of course.
You could argue a black hole is a collapsed star and then a wormhole is cause between two of them so that it at least has the word star in its description in some way.
Still you see how literal translations do not mean you understand the language.

google

No, literal translations do not allow for a full understanding of a language because they fail to capture cultural nuances, idioms, and the overall meaning and flow of a sentence, resulting in unnatural, awkward, or even nonsensical text in the target language. A true understanding requires considering the context, tone, and cultural background, which are often lost in a word-for-word translation.

That answers the question entirely, since I too am a fully educated philosopher who took university courses after course studied and studied do I understand it all?
What do you think? lol
I will tell you what to think, I studied and studied my entire life how does Sartre make sense?
google tell us about Sartre...

Jean-Paul Sartre was a 20th-century French philosopher, novelist, and key figure in the existentialist movement who believed that "existence precedes essence," meaning humans are born without a predetermined purpose and are entirely free to create their own identities and meaning through their choices and actions. He argued for the fundamental human freedom and the anguish that comes with total responsibility for one's life, emphasizing that there are no divine or predetermined moral guidelines. His philosophy highlights the responsibility to make authentic choices and avoid "bad faith," which is the act of denying this freedom and conforming to external expectations.

Completely ignoring man the animal and animal instincts?
Humans are hard coded when it comes to instinctual behaviors.
Fight or flight, and on and on including natural selection, and so many other factors like genetic code.

That sounds like I understand everything doesn't it?
Well maybe google doesn't understand him either.

Maybe he would say look I am French, we are emotional, not logical, what does logic have to do with anything?

So you see it is not if he is right or wrong, but are we truly understanding what he is saying if he wrote in French?

So then is there corroborating evidence that Akhenaten was Osiris reincarnated?
Absolutely and it is well known, to some except academia in general...

According to myth Osiris lost his penis when Steven as Typhon fired a missile or similar and blew him to pieces a fish ate his penis.

So then in Amarna he would be one for two... like this symbol says...

Amarna one for one.jpg

Is that true?
No, I time travelled back to when Steven fired the missile and I had broken ribs only.

And there was no Isis at all.
lol

So what is my point besides garbage in garbage out?

Lets suppose that you and most of the world watched Johnny Carson and his most famous something everyone alive today was well aware of, next generation who is Johnny Carson?

So really the only true way to know what happened would be to record every single detail on all levels.

Was Einstein right?
No, he never finished his work.

I finished his work when I arrived.
It was listed as part of my mission.
I am a physicist also and well one who knows more than anyone else alive since I design matrix systems that rely on my knowledge of physics.

And if a person believes me or not matters not to me and my engineers since we have plenty of proof in our daily lives that few people have.

Sky turns blue and I can tell you exactly what happened here and no one else can...

So it is night time and suddenly the sky turns blue...
and it then shuts off like a screen.

The explanation? Not the swamp gas of Venus like the M.I.B. would say people say it was a transformer that exploded or a sub station that had a power surge in the area.

That would light up the entire sky? No.
And if you want to know research it in my forum here.

Is beauty in the eye of the beholder?

Some times in some ways that is true but ugly is as ugly does, and few people would argue that point.
Even if some South American cultures think that to be ugly is some kind of beauty.

So where do we end up with strong A.I.?

Lets ask google what Strong A.I. is so that like Socrates we can first agree on terms...

Strong AI, or Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), is a hypothetical form of artificial intelligence possessing human-like cognitive abilities, including the capacity to understand, learn, and apply knowledge across an unlimited range of tasks and problems. Unlike narrow AI, which is designed for specific tasks, strong AI would exhibit general intelligence, enabling it to perform any intellectual task a human can, reason abstractly, and adapt to new situations independently. It remains a theoretical concept, as no current AI system has demonstrated this level of broad understanding or self-awareness

So then lets assume we can teach it culture, teach it every Johnny Carson show, even tell it under a certain time frame, when the text was written if it was text it was trying to understand written at that time, and we input all the information we have would that make strong A.I?

Chain the frickin thing to a table, ask it why there are antennas, on the sphere, in the painting Glorification of the Eucharist from 1600, when there was no need for antennas, until 1890.

garbage in, garbage out.

"Garbage In, Garbage Out" (GIGO) is a principle in computer science and other fields, stating that the quality of an output is directly determined by the quality of its input. If poor, flawed, or incorrect data or information (the "garbage in") is provided to a system, the resulting output will also be of poor quality, inaccurate, or useless (the "garbage out"). This concept emphasizes the critical importance of high-quality data and inputs for achieving reliable and valuable results"

google A.I. merely denies they are antennas.

footprints in lava in Mexico of modern man alongside dogs and cats and farm animals from 1.3 million years ago and the leading lava dating expert at Berkely denies they are footprints at all.
Are they? The Royal Society, in the UK, held a special exhibit, at the British Museum, for these footprints. We might assume that the most prestigious group of academics in the world, might recognize a footprint if they saw one.
And if in doubt they sent the BBC there and they said these are footprints have you never seen footprints?
And the Royal Society said, clearly your dates are wrong.

Are his dates wrong?
No, he is the man who dated Olduvai Gorge, and set the absolute dates for all of archeology so if his dates are wrong, all of archeology is wrong.

Absolute dating in archaeology is a method of determining the specific, numerical age of an artifact or site in years, rather than just its order relative to other objects. Common absolute dating techniques include radiometric dating methods like radiocarbon dating, dendrochronology (tree-ring dating), and thermoluminescence dating of ceramics, which provide a calendar year or a precise time range with a margin of error.

I took many archaeology courses in university as well.
The Royal Society

"The Royal Society is a self-governing Fellowship made up of many of the world's most eminent scientists, engineers, and technologists"

Who is Paul Renne...

40Ar/39Ar dating of Bed I, Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania, and the chronology of early Pleistocene climate change
scroll down find him at the bottom and link after link to papers.

So ok, so he denies they are footprints and the Royal Society denies his dates.

They are in denial.

And I could show you more but it is the same thing every time something does not agree with their theories.

Like this wagon wheel in a coal seam?

The "wagon wheel in a coal seam" refers to a discovery of a wheel-like object in a 2008 coal mine in Ukraine, which has been widely circulated as an "out-of-place artifact" (OOPArt). However, due to a lack of scientific documentation or physical evidence, its true nature is unverified. While some critics believe it to be a large, fossilized sand dollar, others suggest it could be a natural formation or even a modern object that somehow became embedded in the rock. The most popular explanation from a creationist perspective is that it's a pre-Flood artifact from the time of Noah"

Anything but exactly what it appears to be. lol
