house paining for low income homeowners

So we are looking to bring more families into our program through our
Brush with Kindness
Program. I believe you are aware of the program but generally we are
looking to paint the
exterior of homes where the owner is a low income family or
individual. You would think
there would be an abundance of these projects and we believe there are
but we are having
issues finding enough projects to keep us busy.
Do you know of people in need for this kind of service?
We have just a few things to consider:
1: House must be in Pulaski County
2. House must either be owned or have written permission to paint
3. We cannot scrape paint due to lead based paint laws. We will prime
and paint, but if
the owner wants the house scraped they must do it themselves.
4. House must be paintable. We cannot paint vinyl siding or aluminum.
5. The homeowner must fall between 30-80% of area Annual Median
Income. (AMI)
6. We will provide all of the painting supplies. Tinting can be
arranged ahead of time,
but we prefer to paint the house white.
7. We would like for the homeowner to assist in painting but we
understand this is not
always possible.
8: Two story houses are difficult for us to paint. The more simple the
design the better.
We will be handpainting these houses with volunteers and will not be
using a sprayer.
