Hi everyone,

Hope you are settling into the semester nicely! 2013 is turning out to be a HUGE year for the youth climate movement. In the coming weeks we have the opportunity to ramp up our calls to reject Keystone XL, build the movement to divest from fossil fuels, and call on our colleges & universities to move to 100% clean energy.

Join a call this Thursday, Feb 7th at 8pm ET with leaders from across the movement to discuss kicking-off a huge year for the youth climate movement!

SPECIAL GUESTS: Mike Brune of the Sierra Club, Crystal Lamen of the Indigenous Environmental Network & Sachie Hopkins-Hayakawa from the PowerUp! Divestment Convergence at Swarthmore College!

On Thursday’s call we'll be talking about the massive Feb 17 #ForwardOnClimate rally, the next stage in fight against Keystone XL, and how students across the country can get plugged into the divest fossil fuels movement.

TO JOIN: Dial: (916) 235-1003 and enter passcode: 655362# OR 475172#

You can RSVP and invite your friends using this Fbook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/321131071341669/

And RSVP the Forward on Climate Rally in DC on Feb. 17th here. CCAN and Sierra Club are organizing a meet up point before the rally, so we can have a Maryland contingent! RSVP to get updated on details.

Best,
Megan

Hey guys,

Feel free to use this google group as a way to organize ride shares for the 17th if you want/need. I've listed the schools that should have reps on this listserv. If you want specific contacts from any other schools in your area, don't hesitate to ask me off-line!

Also, even though I'm no longer officially campus organizer, I'm still more than happy to help support you in anyway that I can. Keep me updated on what you are doing on campus!

Rock on,
Meg
