Hey folks!

We're happy to announce and invite you to a DC Divestment Training for student leaders throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.  It will be held on March 23, from 10-5 at George Washington University, and focus on educating students and giving y'all the tools to lead effective divestment campaigns! It will also be a great opportunity to meet students from the area, hear where campaigns are at and learn and strategize from each other, while building and developing the regional student climate network! 

This training is a collaboration between 350.org, the Energy Action Coalition, Sierra Student Coalition, and Chesapeake Climate Action Network, and we are so excited to be working together and getting to know you! The tentative schedule looks like this:

10:30-11:15 History and Impact of Divestment Movements

11:15-12:15 Endowments 101

12:15-1 Lunch

1-1:30 Goals and Ask

1:30-2:15 Strategies and Tactics 

2:15-3:15 Mapping Allyship and Power

3:15-4:30 Negotiating with Power and Messaging

4:30-5 Closing and Next Steps
