Hi folks - I am a new member of the group and live in Columbia.
Would anyone be interested in setting up a monthly ride? I recently
traded up to a Vespa GTS 250 from a 50 cc, and need to get in some
road time.

I also just purchased a set of Mad Maps (www.madmaps.com) for
Baltimore and the Delmarva area which have some AMAZING half- and full-
day rides. Anyone up for an adventure this fall?

peace -

Hey Janay,

I am actually in Columbia now, (rode my scooter to school), but live
in Catonsville. I would be all for a group ride in the Columbia
area. Any other members interested?

Just about any Saturday or Sunday around noon time would be great or
weeknights would work too.

-Bill

Remember me. I have the Grand daddy of scooters, But still like to ride, even with the 50CCs.  I have a Burgman 650 Exec. Yes that is 650CCs of scooters.

I recently on a ride with a couple of Harley couples.  Left the house at 0:80 in Laurel, had lunch in Berkly Springs WV, Ice cream in Cumberland MD, and made it back to the House by 8:30PM after logging 350Miles with the wife on the back.

Hope to see you out there.

For those not sure of the roads, I recommend picking up a cheap GPS.  for less that 100 bucks you can rest easy, wherever you ride.  Just concentrate on the back roads, and when ready to go home, pull it out to get your bearings.

Have fun

Robert

I would try to join you, but with a 50cc and having to go at least 10 miles of back roads to get there might be duanting. Not to mention that a 50 is going to have a hard time keeping up with a 250.

Side note to Bill. There is no KevKaos on the members list ?!? Where's the love? hehehe

Hi Bill -

That's great! I'd love to do an evening ride on some back roads while I'm
still getting used to the new scoot. How about:

Monday, August 10
7:00 PM

Meeting spot:
Bare Bones BBQ & Brewery
9150-22 Baltimore National Pike
Ellicott City, MD 21042

If we meet at 7:00 PM we'll miss rush hour but still have over an hour of
daylight.

Anyone else interested? For those of you considering coming from other
places, there are some great roads in Howard County with light traffic and
meandering curves. We can always dial it down so 50 ccs are welcome, too.
It'd be nice to get some critical mass out there to protect the little guys.

Peace,
~jp

hey Bruce -- just wanted to make sure you got the message re: tomorrow
night's ride being postponed. I think it's just too hot and don't feel
comfortable taking a long ride without long pants, jacket, etc. Are
Monday nights generally good for you if we want to reschedule?

Thanks,
Janeé

Thanks Janeé. Got the message. Most nights are good, though I'm
traveling a lot this month. Mondays will be safe this month. Thanks!
