the singer of my band's girlfriend just stopped a scooter jacking-
here's what I got in my email:

Zu was driving to work just now, and there was a girl on a scooter in
front of her. They were stopped at a light when a guy walked up to the
girl -- Zu had her window open so she could hear -- and said "get off
that scooter" and grabbed her arm and started dragging her off of it.
Zu opened her door (she was driving Dora) and stood on the running
board with her gear lock in her hand. She said "If you don't get off
of that girl, I'm going to run you over!" and the guy ran away. Zu
followed the girl out of the neighborhood and made sure she was ok
before she kept driving.
