Invitation for Oct 25 MDAnalysis Online Workshop

Dear MDAnalysis Users,

We still have slots available for our first MDAnalysis Online Workshop, taking place Wednesday, 25 October from 15:30-18:30 UTC (with an optional installation troubleshooting session from 15:00-15:30 UTC). Those interested can follow this link to confirm their attendance and to receive relevant information for joining the workshop via Zoom. Please note that this is a basic workshop for MDAnalysis beginners which may not be relevant for more advanced users. As prerequisites for this workshop, participants will be expected to have some degree of Python knowledge and familiarity with molecular dynamics simulations.

All workshop materials and installation instructions are publicly available on the MDAnalysis/MDAnalysisWorkshop2023 GitHub repository. The tentative schedule for the workshop is as follows:

• 15:00-15:30 UTC (Optional): Installation troubleshooting
• 15:30-16:30 UTC: Basics of MDAnalysis
• 16:30-16:40 UTC: Q&A / Break
• 16:40-17:40 UTC: Positions, distances, trajectories
• 17:40-17:50 UTC: Q&A / Break
• 17:50-18:30 UTC: Q&A
