MDAnalysis Online Workshops - Call for Instructors and Partnerships

Hello developers!

Are you interested in getting involved in more teaching and outreach activities? We would like to offer a series of online teaching workshops to help early career researchers across academia and industry learn how MDAnalysis can be used to power their research. As a contributor to MDAnalysis with valuable skills and knowledge, we would love for YOU to volunteer to join our teaching team as a remote instructor.

Being an MDAnalysis workshop instructor would require:

1. Teaching for 30 min - 1 hour using existing materials (though improvements to the materials are always welcome)
2. Being available during the duration of the workshop to assist participants in breakout rooms and to answer questions
3. Familiarizing yourself with the MDAnalysis Code of Conduct and adhering to it to ensure a welcoming environment for all co-instructors and participants

If you are interested, please introduce yourself on this thread and fill out your availability for remote workshops to be scheduled at the end of August and/or October in the following polls:

• Workshop #1 (End of August)
• Workshop #2 (End of October)

In addition, we are seeking collaborations with organizations that are interested in partnering with MDAnalysis to offer workshops on complementary packages/skills. If you are affiliated with, or have contacts at, an organization that might be interested, please help us spread the word.
