Are you interested in learning about specialized toolkits built upon the MDAnalysis library and how they can be used to ensure FAIR-compliant research software? If so, you may want to join the upcoming MDAKits developer workshop.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, May 17th from 5 pm to 7 pm UTC and will be conducted via Zoom. You can join the meeting at
https://asu.zoom.us/j/85761358714 and find an attached ICS calendar file below.
During the first hour of the workshop, the MDAKits team will provide a comprehensive introduction to MDAKits, including a demonstration of the structure of an implemented MDAKit. They will cover the basics of the toolkits and explore some of the key features that make MDAKits a powerful platform for creating accessible, tested, and documented research tools.
The second hour will be an open discussion session where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the MDAKits developers. You can expect to learn about the best practices for using MDAKits to effectively package your code so that it can more easily fit into your and others' workflows.
If you’re unable to attend the May 17th workshop, but are interested in an identical European timezone focused workshop the week after, you can fill out a whenisgood poll at
http://www.whenisgood.net/mx8imya.
MDAKits are specialized toolkits built upon the MDAnalysis library. They are designed to help researchers create FAIR-compliant research software by providing a set of tools that can be used to package and distribute code.
By attending the MDAKits developer workshop, you will learn how to use MDAKits to create your own research tools and ensure that they are FAIR-compliant. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the MDAKits team.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an engaging and informative session. Thank you for your time, and we look forward to seeing you at the workshop.
