Hey Philly Chapter members,

 

On a personal note:

 

It’s been a while,  so I know this email is coming out of the blue.  This isn’t about MDNA opportunities, but I thought I’d include you in a service opportunity that my daughter and I are going to participate in this October (I’m sending most of my office to WWTP, but I won’t be able to attend). 

 

I have the incredible opportunity of traveling to Nogales, Mexico with my daughter (Amelia) and her 8^th grade class from Cambridge School this October.  We will be serving alongside Mexican pastors as they provide educational and recreational opportunities for the needy children of Nogales (a city widely known for drug and human trafficking).  Our service will include repairing homes, building recreational centers for children to gather, and leading recreational and Bible classes for the children.  Due to the extreme poverty of this community, every small change is a huge help.

 

If you would have interest in supporting this effort financially, please let me know.  Our goal is to raise $2,200 for our involvement. Any contributions are welcome and are tax deductible. 

 

We all have many demands on us – so it is very acceptable if now is not the time to participate financially.  And with the Houston tragedy, I understand if your donations go toward that effort. There are no expectations.  All prayers are appreciated as Amelia develops her understanding of her role in God’s great world.

 

Either way, I look forward to seeing you all at our next Chapter meeting Thursday, September 28 at A&A!
