Bonnie Ott and I visited the Catoctin Mtns at the Frederick Watershed yesterday before noon. We started the morning walking the trail leading to Long Pond in search of the Pink Lady-slippers of which a nice bloom was taking place.  See: Pink Lady-Slippers | Pink lady-slipper (Cypripedium acaule).… | Flickr  &  Pink Lady-Slippers Up Close | Pink lady-slipper (Cypripedium… | Flickr .  We then walked Salamander Rock Road to the tower in search of  Brown Elfins,  We found a single Brown Elfin.  We finished the morning at Lower Sand Flat and Sihouette Ponds.

Juvenal's/Horaces Duskywings -- 20+
