I visited the Refuge last Sunday (6th) and Wednesday (yesterday).  I only spent a couple hours both days due to a combination of heat and rain.  On Sunday, I visited the North Tract at the Little Patuxent River at Bailey Bridge and the surrounding environs (open to the public every Sunday). On Wednesday, I visited the Central Tract (closed to the public) at the Patuxent River at Duvall Bridge and Knowles Marsh 3 (Knowles Marsh Drained | Every few years, several of the larg… | Flickr );  and Duvall Pond 1 (Duvall Pond 1 | Patuxent Research Refuge, Prince Georges Cou… | Flickr ).

Not much flying and the rivers were too high to search for cast skins, but seeing a male Pipevine Swallowtail and my first Fawn Darners of the year were nice.
