Aaron's Skippers are out in Kent County, DE, maybe a little on the early side? My parents and I had a 5+ on a ten minute stop in appropriate habitat near Big Stone Beach. A few photos are attached. We also had a Sachem but did not turn up any Bronze Coppers where we have had them in the past.

The only other noteworthy lep was a Summer Azure flying over the beach itself, blown in from Delaware Bay.

Pretty much right on time, actually. Aaron’s flies from mid-May to mid-June, with a second smaller flight in late August. Or it might be a similar sized flight but nobody wants to go exploring the steamy Eastern Shore swamps for them at the height of summer 😇. I think much of our phenology data on MD butterflies is highly correlated with lepidopterist activity more than butterfly activity.
