I visited the Central Tract of Patuxent Research Refuge yesterday.  In the 3 ½ hours I was there I visited several locations — mostly ponds looking for early emerging dragonflies.  I found none.  Only the migrant Common Green Darners were found.

DRAGONFLIES SEEN:
Common Green Darners — 8 — all mature adults — See: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dragonflyhunter/55171555245/

BUTTERFLIES SEEN:
Falcate Orangetip — 1 — male — my first for the refuge this year
Mourning Cloaks — 2
