New issue 188 by
albedosh...@gmail.com: mdesktop does not work at all, I
only get error messages
http://code.google.com/p/mdesktop/issues/detail?id=188
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start mdesktop.exe
2. an error message appears:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: "2" is not a valid key name.
Line#
---> 558: Hotkey,%switchModifier%%index%,switch
The current thread will exit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I try to open the settings, another error message appears:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: Nonexistent hotkey
Specifically: ^#RIGHT
Line#
---> 628: Hotkey,%nexthotkey%,off
The current thread will exit.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I try to open Desktop 2 via right-click on the taskbar icon:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: Nonexistent hotkey.
Specifically: !2
Line#
---> 958: Hotkey,%switchModifier%%index%,off
The current thread will exit.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And so forth...
The only window that opens without any error message is the "About" window.
Hide Icon works as well.
None of the keyboard shortcuts work.
I am running an AHK help script for my keyboard layout (neo2). so I
switched back to my standard German layout and shut down the script, with
the same result. Shutting down Stardock Fences or the MacType Font renderer
do not help either.
Running mDesktop as administrator does not change anything.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I have never seen what the expected output is supposed to look like. What I
see instead? Read above.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I just bought the 1.6 beta 4
My OS: Windows7 Home Premium 64 bit
Please provide any additional information below.
I am frustrated.
