Comment #39 on issue 19 by trashpr...@gmail.com: AltGr key behaviour

http://code.google.com/p/mdesktop/issues/detail?id=19

Hi, sorry for my response time. I have tested R28 and have observed the
following (without thorougly investigation every combination):
1. The AltGr-<n> issue has been solved making '@', '£', and '$' is again
available. Great!
2. Mapping "Send Desktop modifiers for numeric keys" to Shift-Ctrl does
*not* work
3. After mapping back to Ctrl-Alt I receive the attached error message
mDesktop does not work anymore.

But since the AltGr-issue is solved the issues I mentioned in commment 39
are no show-stoppers for me so I'm OK with R28. Thanks again Jason!

Another observation which possibly is intentional is that the '@' character
is still echoed to the active window when I use the Ctrl-Alt-2 to send the
active window to desktop 2. I would have expected that mDesktop would have
consumed that character and only sent the Window to desktop 2. This is
easily reproduced (with eg a scandinavian keyboard) by sending eg Notepad
to desktop 2.

Yeah I though this would be a side effect. I'm going to try to contact the
other developer and see if he can work out the hotkey issues.

Although I like mdesktop, I'm really sorry to say that at least on Estonian
keyboard, where AltGr+2 should do '@', it still does not work. Using 1.6,
downloaded few days ago.

Sorry I've been away. I've just released the second beta of 1.6 where I
rewrote the settings menu and hopefully fixed this issue.

Please give it a try and let me know.

I tested mDesktop1.6b2. Now I get this issue again:
"AltGr+2 does not send the corresponding key to the window (in spanish
keyboard is @)."

So I revert to R28 that for me is the best working so far.

Hey all. I've been reading every input from all of ya, and looking
EVERwhere for an answer/solution but cant find any. I've used mDesktop so
far and Love it, but I have had this problem with AltGr+2 -> where the
Windows it self moves to desktop 2 and stays there. This is becoming very
annoying since im using 4 screens at work and I need to get rid of this
moving part. I e-mail different people EVery day so any help with this
would be most appreciated!

My current version of mDesktop: r28

Regards //Alan
