I would -if I may- suggest a "send to arbitrary desktop" solution as well,
i.e. not just sending to the next or previous but sending to a chosen
desktop e.g. ALT+SHIFT +<number> would send to the desktop number specified.

oh, awesome! My bad, I was trying key combos but couldn't figure it out. I
added that suggestion to the main thread as well so please ignore it.

Thanks again!

I just installed 1.6 and I am not able to get the Alt+Ctrl+[Desktop] to
work in sending the active window to the corresponding desktop.

As I understand it Alt+Ctrl+[Desktop] isn't sufficient as that just sends
the active window to the specified desktop. More often than not I prefer to
send the active window to the specified desktop and also move to that
desktop, (using the same keystroke).

I would like to be able to "bring" a window to another desktop (and switch
to that desktop) by grabbing onto a window with the mouse, then Alt +
[Desktop] to switch to that desktop and having the window come with it,
then release.

Alt-Control-Desktop isn't working for me either - I downloaded 1.6 Beta 3,
but Help / About says 1.6 beta 2. Didn't notice what it said before.

Works for me... ALT-CONTROL-4 sends the current active to desktop 4!
