Dear Narsimha,

It is good to hear from you again, and good to see you at the Diwali event last week. Several of your neighbors have also reached out to me and shared similar concerns regarding the activity at 9907 Fragrant Lilies Way. Ask I told you at the Diwali event, I assure you that my office, the Howard County Police Department and the Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits are actively investing your concerns to determine what the County can do to assist your community. David Lee in my office will certainly keep you informed of our progress. You can always reach him at DK...@howardcountymd.gov or 410-313-3395.

If I can provide any assistance in interim, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Allan

Subject: Squatters in Emerson Community

Dear Allan and Aruna

This is Narsimha Reddy Doma we met multiple times in Howard county business executives meet and Indian and County Events

You may remember I am a Board Member and VP (Vice President) of Emerson community (biggest and best community in Howard county, MD)

I am writing because we have had a problem in our community one of Emerson house occupied by squatters from February and things have become more and more frustrating as the situation has disintegrated; there has been criminal actions taken against one of the tenants (after he exposed himself to the neighbor’s daughter and tried to gain entry into her home) and the constant overflowing of trash outside for weeks on end is certainly a health concern.

Lately it reached a point people are scared to live in community as they spotted some violent behavior and huge influx of strainers in the area.

As this issue resolution became my first priority so I am 100% available to discuss (either by phone or in person) and to see what best we can do to resolve this problem, I know you both are best public representatives in Maryland, so I am reaching out with a hope to get some good direction and help to resolve this issue at the earliest possible. Any help in this regards is much appreciated

Thank you in advance for your time and attention to our problem.

Good Morning,

An update for you all:

I just met with Officer Lingham reporting in from this past weekend.  This past Saturday was a heavily advertised event (via social media) at the house.  Howard County Police did have 2 plain-clothes officers there that evening and 2 marked police cars parked on the street with the lights on.  Earlier in the evening the police executed an arrest warrant for the 2 female subjects and took them in.  Because the warrants were traffic offenses, both were out around 11pm and a facebook posting was made (that the police follow) about the party being delayed until 11:30.  The officer estimated probably only 15 people showed up largely due to the officers parked outside J.  Hard to bring in drugs and prostitutes when law enforcement is right outside the house waiting for you I guess.

Anyway, there was one noise complaint made, but by in large the evening was successful as far as “mischief mitigation” goes.  As our officer pointed out to me, obviously this is not the normal practice for police, but they are doing everything they can to help us out.

He is going to reach out  to the Sergeant that has been talking with the bank to see if things can be hurried along.
