Hi everyone, over the years I've been on Flickr I've gotten a Staffordshire based Photographer called Martyn Hearson who calls himself "Renown" on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos_user.gne?path=&nsid=22455491%40N02&page=&details=1.
Martyn has visited the South East many times since the 1970's and captured a wide variety of vehicles and operators, and over the summer I suggested to him that some of his shots from the 70's and 80s would be of great interest to group members, however as he is a bit busy to join the group at the moment, he has now given me full permission to look through his Flickr account and upload any shots that we think would be of interest to the group, however as Martyn is a native of the Midlands, we will be calling on some of you to answer a few questions that he has about some of these shots.

Although there will be some historical shots to come, to start with here is a small selection of his digital shots taken since 2007, featuring P&O Ferries Buses of Dover's now replaced Marshal MidiBus R105VLX seen at Dover Eastern Docks Ferry Port in 2008, Stagecoach Dart 34652 GX54DXC seen in Ramsgate in 2008, Stagecoach Volvo 16026 P826GMU seen in Tenterden in 2015, and ex Arriva Maidstone Volvo's 5940 P940MKL and 5942 P942MKL seen living the expat life on the Menai Coast in North Wales in 2008 and 2009.

Martyn is of course also well known for being one of the proprietors of Knotty Bus, a fan of AECs and an avid preservationist whose mechanical skills and facilities have assisted many preserved vehicle owners.

Yes he is, and we'll be talking about that later, as Martyn has had some vehicles with South East connections pass though his hands over the years.
