Following on from Hertford, I made my way to Stevenage last Saturday to catch up with some more Kentish exiles... and promptly came across an RT. I really can't find any good reason within group guidelines to post that, but it runs on the second Saturday of the month to serve the Farmers Market, if that's your sort of thing.
With competition from Stagecoach starting by way of the new service SB12, a small number of Stevenage-allocated vehicles have received promotional branding for the SB1 service, including former Kent 4276. As most of the branding is towards the rear, it seemed to make sense to show it from that angle.
The second rear view is of E200 4114, showing off the "Connect Herts" branding used in this case for the 725 service between Stevenage and Heathrow Airport. Three such vehicles are in this "generic" version of the livery, which I use as some Centrebus vehicles use a service-specific variant.
There's little excitement from the two front shots: 4287 is on the 400 to Panshanger (a suburb of Welwyn Garden City), which is a fairly modern creation out of a renumbering of a renumbering, whilst 4320 is on local service SB4. A quick fix of legal lettering and remove the intalink logos and they could just as easily be leaving Chatham Bus Station...
Overall, for anyone seeking 'modern' subsequent disposals from local Arriva fleets, east Herts is not a bad place for a day out - although be aware there is a general frequency reduction in Stevenage on Saturday afternoons.
