Gravesend is officially "over the border" in the LOTS area, but I claim historical precedent to include them here.

Granted not quite in the right order, but a nice trio emerged yesterday with 4088, 4089 and 4090, released from mandatory use on the 477, on local services 481, 482 and 483.

The destination display for the 481 is somewhat perplexing, and is presumably left over from a previous revision, as no services currently terminate at Darnley Road from the east. Use of a long vehicle on the 483 is also unexpected (and it seemed not to be tracking), but is currently possible because the road through Swanscombe that causes the restriction is closed for roadworks this week.

4088 and 4089 (482 and 481 respectively) are seen in Gravesend Town Centre, whilst 4090 (483) is seen leaving Bluewater Bus Station.

Well, Gravesend was originally one of those 'border towns' in terms of operators with M&D providing services in eastern Gravesend (east of Denton) and LT in the west. So I guess that only the western part of this town was traditionally considered 'over the border' by this society. And these days it's easier for both LOTS and the MDEK bus club to 'overlap' on coverage and share information.

Hi Chris

Darnley Road is shown because it's still the most convenient timing point at Weavers Close for journeys that do the loop round to Old Road West and back
returning via Pelham Road to the town centre.  Barrack Row only looks like it's the terminus on Bustimes because that is how it's registered, with the whole loop shown on the (mainly) westbound journey.

Thanks Derek - You are quite correct in that I'd completely overlooked the loop working, assuming the bits to the west of the town centre were for the Ebbsfleet-terminating school workings. I have obviously not been in the right place at the right time to see the loop workings before.
(We can overlook the fact it's clearly shown on the journey-specific tracking, and the Kent Thameside map, and the route listing in the Enthusiast's Guide to name but three...)

Our western boundary is approximately the former boundary between M&D and London Country, so sits at Denton.  Despite the fact that M&D pulled out of Gravesend in 1978 we have tried to maintain coverage of any operation that straddles the boundary, though it has to be said that reporting both to us and to LOTS is very poor, relying entirely on occasional visits by members from other areas.  So all contributions are more than welcomed by both organisations, and we share all such occasional crumbs from the table.
