A number of local community groups are active on Facebook, and whilst it would be impossible to keep tabs on them all, a number of bus-related matters do crop up from time-to-time (a recent post on my own local area group was a request for dating a photo of Dargets Road, which happened to contain a bus on the 32).
A link from a Rainham group produced the attached, taken from a glass plate negative, showing a tram at the White Horse/Cricketers terminus in Rainham, taken from almost the same site as the bus stop in my recent "Rainham Enviro Duo" posting. The story and precise dating is a little hard to follow, as it mentions both the 1900s and 1910s, but the saved image name says 1906.
There are a couple of wonderful perspectives, with the group of men on the left (where the war memorial now stands) seemingly unsure as to whether to look at the tram or the photographer, and by virtue of their standing position, it would be easy at first glance to think the telegraph pole was in the middle of the road, rather than firmly on the pavement behind the tram crew.
