Fastrack Connect

A second vehicle in the grey and purple 'Fastrack Connect' livery for service F slipped out into service last week, although neither it (SE233) nor the first (SE234) yet carry fleetnumbers. As well as external repaint, it looks as though they've had a full retrim inside, as the seat cushions were both new-foam-firm and new-moquette-clean. 

One of each here from yesterday (Tue 17th), with SE234 leaving the terminal stop at Ingress Park, Manor Way, SE233 at Lightermans Way, just after the Ingress Abbey stop, and a rear view of SE233 at Greenhithe station for the all-round view.

These vehicles are about 11 years old and as they have been refurbed are likely to be in service for a while, so KCC  must have relaxed the vehicle age requirement ?

A 3rd and final example SE232 YX15XMK has been released and I captured it at Bluewater on Feb 22nd.

There are three altogether (SE232-4), which have been refurbished by Hants & Dorset.  It looks as if they are all now in use?

                According to LOTS, many of the MECs have been stood down in recent months, and all the Irizars are now on strength except 25 (long-term VOR) and 48 (yet to be commissioned), though delays with the charging infrastructure at Dartford mean that the number on the road remains limited on any given day.
