All change please! / Educating Maidstone: Chalkwell 150

Not my finest effort, but Chalkwell's destination displays are not the easiest to capture, and there are only so many opportunities for a once a day service! 

Chalkwell's 150 service finished at the end of the school term, and will pass to Brian Jones on KCC tendering from September, newly renumbered into the Medway school bus series as the 650. As such, it passes from an operator a long distance to the east of the route to one equally long distance to the west, but not without a fight, as 7 bids were received for the service - the last remnant of the Lordswood/Walderslade to Maidstone service under the 150 number. 

K26 CWL was the regular vehicle on the route, and is seen here in the last few weeks of operation on 8th July, rounding the new roundabout on North Dane Way to serve the Capstone Oaks housing development, currently in build, between Princes Avenue and Lordswood Lane on the afternoon journey.
