Sweeping Up

A decidedly less damp than forecast Sweeps Festival took place in Rochester at the weekend, and once again, Nu-Venture provided a Park & Ride service to and from the Universities at Medway campus. It operated every 20 minutes via a circular route, out via Chatham Bus Station, returning via Medway City Estate and the Medway Tunnel, with the pick-up/drop-off point at Blue Boar Lane/Adult Education Centre/Casino Rooms bus stop (whichever you want to call it). 

Amongst the vehicles in use on Sunday were fleet-liveried DE431, and darker-green liveried DE497, both seen at the Universities Campus. The fact that the two vehicles have two different types of destination display is on obvious show, meaning that in common with a number of independent operators, it isn't just one blind set (and one set of audio announcements) to kit out the fleet. 

A number of vehicles regularly in use on Medway-area services were also fitted with rear window adverts for the Festival.
