Having a three universities in Kent, some of which have more than one campus, and all of which have a severe deficit of parking spaces, each university has some form of shuttle bus or another for various purposes.

The service at Canterbury Christ Church is currently running a much reduced timetable compared to previous years, and it's not entirely clear whether this is a permanent reduction or purely COVID-related. The current service offers peak and lunchtime journeys from just outside the Old Sessions House on Longport to Polo Farm, a journey time of about eight minutes.

Changing from Hayden, Acol last year, the service is now provided by Kings Ferry (or National Express Travel Solutions, as the group of companies now appears to be calling itsself). Last Tuesday, 29th September, the service was in the hands of Woods of Leicester liveried PO15 AZZ, a type rather uncommon for this area, an Unvi-bodied Mercedes minicoach. This journey, the last lunchtime journey towards Polo Farm, carried FAAD: Fresh Air and Driver.

...No, but "campi" would have been in the original Latin.
These days "campuses" or "campusses" seem to have evolved as the accepted English plural.

Nice to see a scholastic turn here!

But surely much easier to say “site” or “sites”?

I spent much of my professional career trying to convince colleagues that the plural of syllabus is syllabus, being fourth declension (i.e. derived into Latin from Greek), rather than syllabi.

                Linguam Latinam conturbamus?

My Teutonic education saved me from another accidental error in the post title! Incidentally, the German plural of Campus is Campus...

Moving to the next-oldest of Kent's universities, the University of Greenwich contracts three bus routes serving its various camp... sites... two of which serve the Medway campus at Chatham Maritime. Summary details of the timetables (Mon-Fri only) were given in August Invicta, including term-only and COVID-extra services, with services to both Greenwich and Avery Hill. Centaur run all three routes, the third running between the two London locations.

The main interest here, though, is the pair of brand new Irizar i4 Hybrid coaches now being used for most workings on the Greenwich service. Four coaches are required and there are only two hybrids, so it could be rather hit-and-miss as to whether you see one or one of the standard fleet liveried vehicles. Here is the "second one", YT70EWL, at the Central Avenue stop on 30 September. Presumably the destination display could show an actual destination, but it was not on this occasion. The Avery Hill service, meanwhile, was in the hands of fleet-liveried Iveco minibus MK69LPY. Two further vehicles, presumably COVID-extras awaiting their lunchtime returns, were parked just around the corner next to the Pembroke Building.

The Greenwich - Avery Hill service will also gain interest in the early part of 2021, when according to a University press-release, two electric double-deckers are to be introduced. Although beyond the scope of both the Club and this group, I think they will be the closest non-diesel, non-London buses to the Club area at this moment.

Must admit I also made a quick check to see if campus was 1st or 4th declension! Syllabūs, pronounced syllabooze - in fact.

And I thought campusses were cats from Cambridge.

The Christ Church shuttle service moved to YMS a couple of years ago (I'm too lazy to check!), and now operates every 20 minutes throughout the day between the Old Sessions House and Polo Farm.

The size of the vehicle varies, and on occasions has been provided by a white Transit minibus, but on 18th September fully-liveried Y22 BUS was in use, seen here pulling out of the Old Sessions House car park.
