Perhaps surprisingly, given the plethora of Club-area operators on other rail replacement jobs in recent months, the majority of those vehicles seen yesterday (Tues 17th) were from Travelmasters and YMS, a smaller number from Go-Bus/Coach, and the remainder - especially those on the Dartford/Barnehurst and Dartford/Crayford shuttles - being shades of blue (Chaseside) and red (1st Bus Stop, Abbey Travel and Go-Ahead London).
As usual, I won't bore you all with large numbers of similarly-coloured vehicles taken in similar places, but as something at the less-ordinary end of both companies, Travelmasters' E500 LW55 AJV was seen passing through Greenhithe on the way to Slade Green, whilst YMS' T12 YMS retains the colours of previous operator South East Omnibus when captured on arrival at Gravesend.
Not having travelled I couldn't comment on any audio-visual announcements, but the ever-increasing use of the LED destination displays to show route-specific information is most welcome. Notably, this did not extend to London vehicles, with even LED-fitted vehicles showing a generic "Rail Replacement" display and relying on windscreen boards, or worse, just the small-text pieces of paper in the windscreen shown on both vehicles here.
