Maidstone Hospital Park & Ride

 A bit more on this strange operation.

The booked route for the  H1 service from Allington Park and Ride (former) to the Hospital is via A20 to Hermitage Lane and direct to Hospital.   One two occasions this week I have noted vehicles on this service joining A20 London Road at Conway Road (adjacent BP Filling station) then running to the P&R site London bound on A20.  This suggests drivers are turning off Hermitage Lane onto the new housing evelopment which links through to the old Poplar Grove estates via a "bus gate" - part of the route used by Nu-Venture for their service 60.   I wonder if this is an official diversion from the correct route or opportunism to avoid bad traffic at the lights on the junction with the A20?   On both occasions the Streetlites concerned were displaying "Park & Ride" on their dot matrix displays.
