Something of a rarity has been in Kent for the last few weeks, by way of the Alexander Dennis E100EV demonstrator. Having first spent two weeks with Go-Coach, mostly on the 3, it also spent at least a few days with Chalkwell (albeit tracking under the ticket machine of a redundant Solo there). Examples so far only exist in service with Shuttle Buses of Kilwinning, and have been delivered, at least, Stagecoach London.
Being a good reporter, I noted down the full seating details... and then managed to lose the piece of paper out of my pocket somewhere in Sevenoaks! Passenger numbers were again less than stellar (although the hot weather may have been a factor). Just three from Orpington, two of whom had left us by the London boundary.
Not really ideally placed for the strong sun (and not having a particular desire to throw myself across the road in front of it), suitably registered AD24 ADL was seen in the better of the two photos I took of it on 13th May approaching Orpington War Memorial from Sevenoaks Road on the last northbound journey of the day. An idea to ask the driver nicely somewhere prettier came unstuck when the car in front of us exiting Polhill Garden Centre decided it was a good idea to pull out in front of one coming along the main road, with the associated confetti of carbon fibre (or whatever they make car bumpers out of these days)...
