According to local reports, we're now expecting the new BZLs in service "before Christmas" - with expansion to the operating hours due to happen when they enter service. 

I was amused at the suggestion they will leave the Volvo factory in Sweden for the UK in late October. Bearing in mind they are bodied in Egypt by MCV, I'd expect them to be shipped from there...

Adam,

A few new BZL single deckers have recently entered service with Stagecoach in Tayside so it might just happen!  Perhaps the delay is down to their having been inadvertantly shipped from Egypt to Sweden.  Then again, it's proably more down to the poor levels of accurancy for which an increasing section of the press is noted.
