East Kent 34792 The Thanet Loop

Pointer Darts although dwindling in number are still putting in the hard yards on the Thanet Loop, which is normally the preserve of much newer ADL Enviro 200 MMCs.

Here 34792 which was new to Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire is seen turning out of the bus hub at Westwood Cross.

As it happened, I was using the buses in Thanet today, and although I didn’t see this vehicle myself, I did travel on 35256 on the Loop. It had replaced 26235 which was still broken down opposite Palm Bay Garage when we passed it on the next circuit! According to Bustimes 34792 was on the 32 today, anyway, having been on the Loop yesterday (26^th).

 

As well as the usual “suspects”, i.e. route 48, which had 34438 on it again today – I rode it from West Dumpton to the Pharmacy in Dumpton Park Drive, I also used the 34 from Ramsgate Harbour to Drapers Close on 34845, and for the first time in a long while the whole allocation mid-morning was Pointer Darts.
