Flibco FL2

Flibco recently started a second coach service to Stansted Airport, this one running from Finsbury Park via Wood Green and Enfield.

 

And the relevance to this group is? That unlike the FL1 (from Bishopsgate) which is worked by Readybus of Slough, the new FL2 appears to be worked by Kings Ferry. Or at least, the vehicles seen on it so far have Kings Ferry legals.

 

Noted on the 10:45 departure from Finsbury Park this morning was BV26 GUC, a Scania / Caetano tri-axle in full Flibco livery.

Is Flibco related to FlixBus?, I do see FlixBus passing through Dover several times a day, and though their services are normally provided by Foreign vehicles and operators, a brand new UK example YK26LCA passed through on May 1st.

Broadly speaking, yes.

Flibco was owned entirely by Luxembourg-based Sales Lentz Group (SLG) when it started operations in the UK, working on a franchise model similar to National Express and Flix, in that it doesn't operate services directly, but through other operators with coaches painted in its colours. Flixbus, which is a German-owned firm that started with the deregulation of the coach industry in Germany in 2013, took a majority stake in Flibco in January 2026, but runs it as a separate company. SLG retains a minorty stake in Flibco, but does not have any stake in Flix. 

The majority of Flix services through Dover are continental, hence the foreign-registered vehicles, but they do have a significant number of operators working for them throughout the UK, from McGills to Go South Coast.  See https://www.flixbus.co.uk/bus-routes and https://www.flibco.com/en/ .
