With the sun still poking through, an impromptu 20 minutes at Southborough Common was the next stage of Friday's somewhat unplanned day out, which gave me a chance to catch up with some of the changes since my last visit.

Starline have recently purchased two Optare Tempos to replace older single-decks in the bus fleet, which retain the livery of their previous operator, Longstaffs. The Starline fleetname has been neatly applied in the space between the "logo curves", so well that I had to check whether the swoops were Starline's or Longstaffs'!

YJ10 MDN is seen here on the 235, one of two school services (the other being Autocar's 230) linking Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells via circuitous routes, in opposing directions. Starline have recently moved towards using the electronic displays, rather than windscreen slipboards - and whilst this hasn't shown quite as brightly as it did on the bus, it does look much smarter.
