Plates with QR Codes have appeared on bus stops and shelters in Maidstone.

This particular one is on stop L2 in King Street. When scanned using a smartphone it links to details of the next services from that stop.

Beware scanning QR codes in public, they can be replaced with alternatives that lead you to malicious websites.

One of our company correspondents has helpfully explained that these codes are provided as part of Kent's BSIP, and are being rolled out slowly across Kent. They first appeared in Tonbridge & Malling in October.

As they now appear to have reached Maidstone (I noted one earlier in December, but had not had time to research further), it may be helpful from a Club perspective to note which broad council areas are already covered, and when they start appearing in other areas.
