Arriva in East Grinstead

Both Arriva London: https://www.flickr.com/photos/69558134@N05/55038441525, and Arriva Kent were on the RR at East Grinstead on the 10th with at least 4 vehicles from Kent, including two 74 plate MMC's from Medway and 18 year old Enviro 5457 SN58EOC from Tun Wells, whose driver spoke very highly of it, and also told me and Harry that at least 3 vehicles from Gravesend and Thameside would be in use there on Jan 17th 2026.

When I returned on the 17th Streetlite 4326 SK68TWX from Gravesend was in use, and was seen with Compass Buses YX24OWM on Route 261 to Forrest Row and Uckfield, and South East Bus Hire CX64EMS.

Arriva are now likely to appear on rail replacement more often than in recent years, most likely for Southern/Thameslink, owing to some significant background work by local staff. It is only being staffed after all regular duties are covered (subject to on-the-day changes). 

I'm advised that for next weekend, a selection of vehicles should be out as follows:

Saturday 24th: 

Gillingham: Three Bridges to East Grinstead

Sunday 25th:

Gillingham: Gatwick to East Grinstead

Northfleet: Tonbridge to Redhill

Tunbridge Wells: Three Bridges to East Grinstead.
