Friday 11th August saw me visit Wye to photograph some variants of the 1 & 1A before regular non-school buses disappeared from the village altogether (from September there will still be Chalkwell school buses WS1/2/3 but as far as is known nothing else for the time being).
Scania/Enviro400 15436 approaches the east end of Wye High Street having just passed the village church, which had become a terminus for off-peak journeys to and from Ashford, while just round the corner in Upper Bridge Street, Tridents 18528 and 18174 passed the New Flying Horse.
15436 and 18174 were each on one of the few through journeys from Ashford towards Canterbury, so displaying the latter destination, but the one thing I forgot to get was a bus with Wye on the front!
Still, the results were worthwhile.
